Learning Pool is delighted to announce an exciting new partnership with local government financial training experts, LG Futures. The partnership enables Learning Pool to add Learning Pool Finance to its ever growing product portfolio. This new e-learning aims to encourage financial awareness within public sector organisations to help budget holders and their teams become even more efficient.
Learning Pool today announced that it ranked number 6 in the 2011 Deloitte Technology Fast 50, a ranking of the 50 fastest growing technology companies in Ireland. Rankings are based on average percentage revenue growth over five years. Learning Pool grew by 1,100% during this period. This placing comes on the back of news that, last week, Learning Pool announced it is Northern Ireland's fastest growing technology company and has also achieved 26th ranking in the UK overall.
Seven public sector organisations were recognised for their learning excellence during Learning Pool’s Public Sector E-learning Awards at Camden Town Hall this month. The awards, in their 4th year, drew nominations from thirty councils and public sector partnerships and were voted for by fellow public sector organisations who make up Learning Pool’s online learning community

bcda Learning and Development Service is increasing the learning opportunities it offers to 5,000 people from the social care workforce across Birmingham with the addition of new social care e-learning courses from Learning Pool. The online learning will be available to the social care workforce in Birmingham City Council and private, independent and voluntary organisations as well as service users and carers in the Birmingham area.
To coincide with the local elections on May 5 in 276 English councils a new online learning and support website for councillors has just been launched. Costing just £1,000 for 100 learners the programme is designed for those thinking about standing for election, those already Elected Members or indeed anyone with a passion for local democracy. The newly improved service gives flexible access to online training wherever there is an internet connection.
